Letter of recommendation (P.S. Love you Jacque)

My name is Donald Corbin, and this is the story of how I was helped to own my first home.

I met Jacque through a business contact who actually is my accountant. He recommended I meet with Jacque in order to look into the purchase of a home, which would have a positive affect on my income tax bracket. He informed me I would need the tax write off of a mortgage, or I would pay much more in the form of income tax.

I agreed to meet with Jacque and I was immediately impressed with her ability to listen to me versus trying to push a property that she had listed. She encouraged me to visualize the home I would like, in other words, if I could have the things I wanted from a home, what would they be. I imagined a three bedroom home with some space in the living room area, a garage, and a small yard with maybe a rock wall, and or a fence around it.

I was not sure I could find a home like this or afford it.

But imagining was free so I could do that.

We arraigned a time when we could go look at homes in my price range. I was a little concerned because I have such a busy schedule I wondered if it would lead me on a wild goose chase which would take up my time and drain me of enthusiasm.

We embarked on our adventure as planed and we were able to view about four or five homes on that first day.

The first home we saw I told Jacque that, this was the home, I definitely did not want to buy. It was poorly maintained and not in the best neighborhood.

We looked at a few more homes and we actually saw three that we were interested in.

After the process of elimination I choose one I would like to put an offer in on. So, after one day of house looking with Jacque, I was submitting my first offer to buy a home ever in my life ... scary huh...?

Jacque listened to my worries and concerns, as she held my hand through the process never pushing, just being supportive of my choices. She found out answers to questions concerning the financing and other related issues that were pertinent to myself.

As a result of all our efforts my offer was accepted. And, so, we waited for the financing to come through.

We had the day confirmed to sign the papers and showed up to do so, when we found out the mortgage broker had made some critical errors and that they were trying to overcharge me. They had quoted one price prior to the meeting, and at the meeting hit me with some thing way out of that ballpark.

I almost had to walk away from the deal.

But, Jacque took my best interest to heart, and helped me to wrestle with the mortgage company.

I believe, as it turned out, the mortgage company took a loss and corrected their errors, and I probably walked away a little better off for all the wear and tear.

I signed the papers that day, and today almost a year later, I am a proud owner of a home in a very nice neighborhood.

The home..? It is a two story three bedroom home with a two car garage with a nice sized living room. It has a small yard with a rock wall in the front and a white vinyl fence (not quite picket, but pickets are harder to maintain anyway)

So, you see, I was truly blessed with the opportunity to own my own home. And this I owe in large part to the tremendous efforts, and care, and concerns, of Jacque Keizer.

Jacque, you are great.
