Gold Coast Overview
Gold Coast Overview
The Gold Coast neighborhood is located at the base of Diamond Head, near the Waikiki Aquarium, across from Kapiolani Park, on the beautiful Pacific Ocean, and within walking distance of Waikiki and its attractions.
The Gold Coast consists of residential condominiums and cooperatives built in the late '50s and '60s. Many of the buildings have Kapiolani Park as a front yard, and most all of the buildings have the Pacific Ocean as a back yard.
Because of their age many of these condominiums and Cooperatives are in serious need of remodeling and updating but once updated most of these homes have spectacular ocean views and the advantage of a quiet neighborhood within a 10 minute walk of Waikiki.
There are a multitude of recreational & entertainment offerings in the recently renovated Queen Kapiolani Park, located along the Honolulu Gold Coast that includes, tennis, training circuit, jogging, free concerts in the new Kapiolani Park Bandstand, as well as regular starlight performances at the Waikiki Shell. Also with-in a short walking distance from the Honolulu Gold Coast are several places that are great to visit, The Honolulu Zoo and the Waikiki Aquarium are located just a short stroll away along the sandy coastline on one side and the park on the other for your enjoyment.
Mixed in with the residential condominiums are several wonderful restaurants along with the Outrigger Canoe club and The Elks Club.
Parking spaces along the Gold Coast are at a premium and many of the residential units do not have parking deeded with the unit. The ideal close in location of the Gold Coast makes this area worth its weight in gold..
