There are advantages and disadvantages to owning a condo-Hotel.
The best part is the many options you have as far as renting them is concerned. You can leave it all to the Hotel to run for you and just block it out when you are coming to town and want to use it, or you can (with most Condo-hotels) rent it out on your own either short or long term. If you are renting them out short term of course you get more per night than you would by the month but the Hotel will typically take half unless you are booking them yourself. Condo-hotels do have higher tax rates and maintenance fees also.
